EXCURSION 8 DAYS - FROM HA LONG BAY TO SAPA

Day 1: HA NOI, RICH OF HISTORY(D)
Pick-up and welcome at the International Airport of Ha Noi with the transfer to your hotel. We will take a full day tour to visit Ba Dinh Square, where The Late President Ho Chi Minh declared Vietnam’s Independence on 2 September 1945, Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s Residential Place and the One Pillar Pagoda, the must-see monument in Ha Noi (it is an ancient Buddhist pagoda, built in the early 11th century in the reign of King Ly Thai Tong, all construction is supported by only one pillar) and Tran Quoc Pagoda. After lunch time we will visit Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple (Jade Mountain Temple), But Tower (Pen - Shaped Tower), Dai Nghien (Ink Stand), the Red - painted wooden The Huc Bridge, and finish with shopping at Dong Xuan Market (wholesale market). We’ll return to the hotel. Overnight in Ha Noi.  

Day 2: CRUISE IN HA LONG BAY(B, L, D)
The next morning we’ll depart for Ha Long Bay, with travel through the scenic countryside. The wondrous Ha Long Bay is truly one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights. Heading out of the town we embark on a boat to explore the legendary Ha Long Bay. This exciting five hour cruise will provide us a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karsts formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. Along the way we will anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. We will stay overnight on the Junk Cruise.

Day 3: CAT BA ISLAND, THE PIED-A-TERRE IN THE HA LONG BAY(B, L, D)
The third day will start with a tasty breakfast served onboard while we continue cruising around the bay. We’ll then take sampans to visit Luon Cave. Once we return to the boat, we will have brunch before disembarking onto a speed boat to transfer to Cat Ba Island where we will be picked up on arrival and transferred to visit Cat Ba National Park. You will then return to your hotel where you are free at your leisure for the remainder of the evening. Overnight in Cat Ba Island.

Day 4: WAY BACK TO HA NOI (B, L, D)
You will start the morning with breakfast at your hotel and the remainder of the morning is free for your leisure. After lunch at a local restaurant you will be transferred to the pier to take a speed boat back to Hai Phong, get on a bus and transfer back to Ha Noi. Overnight in Ha Noi.  

Day 5: RELAX AND ENJOY FREE TIME IN HA NOI (B)
You will have the day to yourself. In the evening, we will transfer to Ha Noi Train Station to catch overnight train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train.  

Day 6: SAPA, SCENIC LANDSCAPES AND TRADITIONAL HILL TRIBES (B, L, D)

Arrive early at Lao Cai Station. We will take a scenic one-hour drive up to the hill station of Sapa. A 30-min short journey south toward Muong Hoa Valley, a stunning place boasting the largest terraced rice fields in Sapa. The walk takes you from Lao Chai Village of the Black H'mong minority to Ta Van Village of the Giay minority with a stop at the local Catholic Church, taking in the different traditions, cultures and customs of the two minority groups. Return to Sapa and spend the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure. Early check in today is NOT included and subject to the hotel availability.  Overnight in Sapa.

Day 7: SAPA, UNBELIEVABLY CHARMING (B, L, D)
We will check out from the hotel after breakfast and then travel by jeep or by car toward Tram Ton Pass. Along the way, you can take a short walk to Silver Waterfall and then head to Heaven’s Gate, from where you can see Fansipan Mountain, the highest peak in Indochina. A 1.5-hour ride to Binh Lu includes a stop at Chu Va Village of Flower H'mong. Enjoy a packed lunch on the way. After lunch we will trek to Pa Pen Village of Lu minority where you can chat with the local people and visit the local school where you can interact with the kids. Then, we will transfer to Lao Cai Station, freshening up at the hotel before we board the train back to Ha Noi. Overnight on train.  

Day 8: END OF THE TRIP, FULL OF EXPERIENCES (B, L)
The day will begin with early morning arrival at train station where you are picked up and transferred to Ha Noi. After your are transferred we will have breakfast at a local restaurant. You will be free for the remaining time until you are taken to the airport for departure flight.
